Biography

Dr. Ali completed his PhD in Human Resource Management from National College of Business Administration & Economics, Lahore, Pakistan. His PhD is in the area of organizational integrity. His main research interests include integrity and transparency mechanism in organizations, employee psychology that leads to organizational behaviour, technology-oriented management, science communication, employee training & development.   Dr. Ali also holds MS-HRM and MBA degree. He has published 11 research articles in well reputed national and international journals as well as contributed his intellectual work in Global Encyclopaedia of Public Administration published by Springer International in 2018.

He joined UVAS as a faculty member in 2010.  Prior joining UVAS he was serving Government College University, Lahore as Deputy Director QEC and Publications. Earlier he served as Project Manager for USA Funded Access English Language Program at CARE Foundation. He also rendered his services as Deputy Manager HR at CARE Foundation, Lahore.
Parallel to 12 years university teaching experience, Dr Ali has been serving as a trainer/ resource person at multiple platforms i.e. Higher Education Commission Pakistan, Pakistan Institute of Management etc. since 2008.
Alongside Dr Ali is a broadcast journalist and has served Pakistan Television, Dunya News Network and Kohinoor TV as a program anchor. Moreover he shares his opinion in Op-ed portion of well reputed newspapers: The Nation and Islamabad Post and regional diplomatic magazines: South Asia, Wings.

  • Communication: Evaluating and shaping communication skills in individuals and designing communication mechanism for better flow of information within and outside of an organization.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Measuring the strength of existing recruitment and selection (R&S) process and devising competency-based result oriented R&S system
  • Training and Development: Assessing training needs and crafting customized management training programs to improve objectively
  • Integrity and Corruption: Probing and assessing Integrity mechanism in Public Sector organizations to control corruption
  • Multiple intelligences:  Providing training on Multiple Intelligences for optimal finding and use of bestowed potentials

  4. Served Pakistan Television as program host of multiple live and recorded program i.e. Sur Jawan.
  5. Worked with Lahore News – Dunya Group as current affair program anchor “Bina Mazrat”
  6. Worked with Kohinoor News as current affair program anchor “Bay Dharak”
  7. Produced multiple video documentaries for UVAS, Lahore.
  8. Provided consultancy in designing, publication of varied documents of GCU-Lahore and UVAS-Lahore i.e. prospectuses, reports, newsletters, advertisements etc. Alongside run different campaigns.
  9. Served as Advisor Film & Still society of UVAS-Lahore. During this, produced short films, conducted national inter university short film competitions, organized photography and videography training programs for students etc.
  10. Established Business Incubation Centre at UVAS-Lahore in 2012.
  11. Provided training and consultancy to review and update Communication Strategy for L&DDD Punjab in 2012.
  12. Served as core member of Committee for Business Plan of UVAS, 2015
  13. Served as Convener of Media Coordination Committee at International Buffalo Conference 2019
  14. Served as Master of Ceremony at different events of varied organizations i.e. Health Ministry, Al-Huda International conferences, Nikon Pakistan etc.
