The government is committed for the development of livestock in the province and this sector is passing through a process of changing in accordance with the dynamics of production, healthcare, food security, human resource development and trainings of farmer’s community.
At present the southern areas of Punjab Province are facing shortage of trained manpower i.e. the Para-Vets (Veterinary Assistants, A.I. Technicians etc).Therefore, this institution has been established, under the supervision of University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore to cater the needs of skilled manpower & Para-Vets in this region. The school is located on 10 acres piece of land next to Boy’s Degree College on the Bypass Road, Karor Lal-Eason.

Hence, PVI offers a unique learning environment with facilities of imparting skills and knowledge on dairy, sheep, goat, poultry and animal health. With a responsive curriculum of various training programs including skilled & well-experienced teaching staff, veterinary outdoor dispensary, private farm visits, well-equipped lecture halls with multimedia presentations and free access to the departments/laboratories of Asia’s one of the best and oldest veterinary university (UVAS).
We are keenly interested to initiate the training sessions to provide the required human resource for the developmental activities of livestock sector specifically in the flood affected areas of Southern Punjab. As there is a dire need of basic knowledge & learning on livestock development in this region, therefore, we are proud to be your partner in livestock extension education, cost-effective nutrition plan on dairy & fattening animals, visionary marketing, value addition, better production & livestock management. We encourage the NGO’s/NPO’s, stakeholders and other government organizations to mutually cooperate with us by creating a meaningful relationship with this unique forum of learning.
