  Department in collaboration with VCS held a workshop on animal welfare and ethics ONLINE PADLET under the supervision of PRESIDENT Rana Muhammad Usman and MAM ANEELA ZAMEER DURRANI . Event started at 9.00am .DR.EMMIE was the chief guest of event. Representatives from Brooks were also present including Dr. Jawaid.The conference started by the recitation of the HOLY QURAN and then guests took introduction from the participants present . Then chief guest Dr. Emmie gave her introduction and explained about her institution (work and purpose of the institution) and then the discussion started about the purpose of online padlet for animal welfare and ethics course. During the discussion professors from pattoki and jhang campus also joined us through online meeting. DR.RAI NASIR from LIVESTOCK DEPARTMENT asked important questions from the guests and gave some suggestions to them for improvement – raising voice for equine welfare and hoping for their inclusion in policy too.Brooke is the only charity that specifically concentrates on equines (horses, donkeys and mules). In the end refreshment was served and a group photo was taken with the guests. We thanked our guests for their precious presence.

 Organized an online workshop on “Equine Radiology and Ultrasonography”. Many learned and knowledgeable guest speakers including Dr. Mubbashar Hassan, Dr. Naveed Hussain, Dr. Sheha Gul Bokhari, Brigadier Mehboob, Dr. Javeed and Dr. Akrim ul Mehmood joined us for the session. Students and professionals took this opportunity to broaden their knowledge on the subject by participating in the session. Worthy Vice Chancellor UVAS, Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad and Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, Patron of Vets Care Club, also joined the session and commended the efforts of Team VCC for arranging such an informative event.

Participated in “Disease Diagnosis in Advanced Clinical Approaches & Field Implementation” organized by In-service Training Facility of Advance Veterinary Education and Professional Development for Veterinary Professionals at Veterinary Academy, UVAS-Lahore

 

Vet Crescent Society arranged a webinar on "Evidence-Based Medicine. It was all possible due to the efforts of Prof. Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani at Department of Veterinary Medicine. The guest speaker "Dr. Ijaz Rasheed" from East Windsor Animal Hospital taught the participants how diagnosis is carried out step by step in the USA. The webinar was a huge success and got so much appreciation on national and international level.

Vets Care Club invited UVASIAN UGRAD alumni, Dr. Samia Farooq, Miss Hira Ashfaq and Miss Noor-ul-Sabah, in an online session to guide students about the process and importance of UGRAD student exchange program. Student's queries regarding application process and writing their personal statement were addressed in the session as well as giving an opportunity to get their personal statements reviewed by the alumni.
