Farmer Gatherings

Relaunched July 8, 2026

After a long pause, Department of Veterinary Medicine, UVAS Ravi Campus Pattoki has successfully revived its Monthly Farmers' Gathering (Kisan Baithak), with the first session held on July 8, 2026. The program, previously conducted from 2010 to 2020, has been relaunched to reconnect the university with the farming community. Held on a monthly basis, these gatherings serve as a bridge between scientific research and field practices, enabling farmers to benefit from expert guidance on livestock management, disease prevention, nutrition, and modern farming technologies while fostering collaboration for sustainable agricultural growth.

Free Veterinary Treatment Camp

Dedicated to promoting animal health and supporting the farming community, the Department of Veterinary Medicine organizes Free Veterinary Treatment Camps throughout the year on special occasions such as Eid and other community events. These camps are conducted in collaboration with veterinary student clubs, faculty members, and leading pharmaceutical companies, whose support helps facilitate the provision of quality veterinary services and essential medicines. Faculty members and students provide free veterinary healthcare services, clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment, preventive medicine, and expert guidance to livestock owners. Through these outreach activities, UVAS reaffirms its commitment to compassionate service, experiential learning, industry-academia collaboration, and the dissemination of veterinary knowledge for the betterment of society and the sustainable development of the livestock sector.

Internship/Externship Facilities

The UVAS Outdoor Clinic,(both at Main campus and Ravi campus) a clinical teaching and referral facility of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, offers comprehensive internship and externship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students, recent graduates, and visiting trainees from national and international institutions. The clinic serves as a dynamic learning environment where participants receive supervised, hands-on training in clinical examination, diagnostic procedures, treatment planning, preventive healthcare, emergency case management, and client communication across a variety of animal species.

Under the mentorship of experienced faculty members and practicing clinicians, trainees are actively involved in real-time case management, allowing them to translate theoretical knowledge into clinical practice. These programs foster professional competence, critical thinking, ethical veterinary practice, and clinical confidence, while strengthening the University's commitment to excellence in veterinary education, experiential learning, and the development of highly skilled veterinary professionals.
