Biography

Dr. Jawaria Ali Khan, is Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Science at UVAS, Lahore. She qualified DVM in 1997 and M.Sc. (Hons.) in 1999 in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore and PhD degree in Clinical Medicine in 2010 from UVAS. Her professional journey started as Lecturer in 2000 at UVAS Lahore (Former College of Veterinary Science, Lahore) and then promoted to the post of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in 2007 and 2014 respectively. She has more than 24 years of teaching, research, clinical and administration experience. Dr. Jawaria was served as a chairperson Department of Veterinary Medicine and incharge Medicine Laboratory and incharge Outdoor Hospital, Department of Veterinary Medicine.. she is also serving as a superintendent of UVAS Female Hostels, Member, Emergency Response Committee UVAS, President Athletic club UVAS, Sectary/ Member Board of studies Veterinary Medicine Department, Member Faculty Board, Member grievance Committee FVS, Convener of grievance Committee Veterinary Medicine Department, Convener of grievance Committee UVAS Hostels, Member Interview committee for postgraduate students, UVAS, Expert Reviewer of Pakistan Journal of Science. She has supervised 45 MPhil students and 04 PhD students, and 07 are in progress including 04 PhD scholars, and published more than 73 research papers in national and international refereed scientific journals.  Dr. Jawaria has won 2 research projects one as a PI and one as a Co-PI from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
