  • Prof. Dr. Athar Mahmud, Chairman, Department of Poultry Production is Co-PI of the research project entitled “Development and commercialization of antibiotic alternatives: phages and nutraceuticals for Pakistan poultry production” funded by International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada. The aim of the project is to find alternatives to antibiotics for Pakistan Poultry industry. An effective alternative will help in reduction of use of antibiotics by poultry industry and ultimately antibiotic resistance in microbes. The project will help achieving the SDG on Good health and well-being.
