At present University Library is providing the following facilities/services to its five Faculties, two Directorates and more than twenty academics and administrative departments.

Reading Facility

Reading Facility inside the Library is available to all users/visitors from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm

Reading Hall for Under-graduate students

The undergraduate students use this reading hall for study of library  materials and complete their assignments which are centrally air-conditioned to facilitate the students.

Reading Hall for Post-graduate students

Recently, a reading hall has been added for postgraduate students adjacent to library. The post graduate students used this reading hall for study and consulting library reference materials and complete their assignments which are also centrally air-conditioned.

Photostat facility is available in the Library though a contractor at approved rates for the students and staff of the University. A Photostat cell for photocopying of the official documents has also been established in the University Library.

Circulation Services

Circulation Services are being provided to Library members and staff according to the Library Regulations.

Reference Services

Reference services are being provided to the students and the staff through verbal communication, T.V., VCR, Microfiche Material, In-house Database, CD-Rom (International databases) and online resources through the internet.

The Library has partially been computerized. The facility of self-searching of Library books, journals and theses is also available for all users.

Internet Browsing and E-Mail Services

Internet browsing and E-Mail services are available in the Library since March 21,1998 . Recently, the Computer Lab. Of University Library has been equipped with 20 latest computers connected with high speed internet. The students and faculty members are making maximum use of this important facility from 08:30 am to 08:00 pm at very normal charges.

Other Services

Current Awareness Service (CAS), Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI)Extension Services such as Orientation and invited lecture series, special presentations and quarterly UVAS Library Bulletin are the part of UVAS, Library Services.

Library Services for the users community

UVAS Library has been providing almost all latest services and facilities to its approved users as well as to the external users on special request basis. This  includes CD-Rom/online searching, photocopying and temporary issuance of UVAS  publications such as research reports, thesis and retrospective journals ranging   from 1890 to present. The user’s training and orientation programs conducted by the University Library, University’s News Bulletin and Library Bulletin(Q) as well as Website Link of the library are the major sources for public services.
