Farm Manager Office

Introduction

The Agriculture Farm, established in 2004 as the first operational office at the Ravi campus, aims to demonstrate modern agricultural technologies on a large scale to students and end users, including livestock and other farms. The farm has transformed barren land into a productive and well-managed landscape. It supplies both raw and processed feed to all departments of Ravi Campus, primarily focusing on livestock, by utilizing advanced technologies that enhance crop production, reduce production costs, and improve soil fertility.
Additionally, the farm supports university research by providing essential inputs such as land, farm machinery, seeds, fertilizers, labor, and pesticides. It facilitates experiments for M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars under various agroecological conditions upon request. The farm also offers advisory services to farmers on advanced livestock-based agricultural technologies and conducts training sessions and demonstrations on the latest innovations in collaboration with national and international organizations.

Activities:

• Production of Fodder and Cash Crops: Cultivation of various fodder and cash crops.
• Development of University Landscape: Enhancing and maintaining the university's landscape.
• Field Trials of Various Fodder: Conducting trials to evaluate different fodder varieties.
• Demonstrations of Latest Technologies: Showcasing cutting-edge agricultural technologies.
• Development of Fruit Orchards: Establishing and managing fruit orchards.
• Development of Parks: Creating and maintaining parks within the campus.
• Processing and Conservation of Fodder: Implementing methods for fodder processing and conservation.
