Biography:

Muhammad Kashif Yar is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Animal Sciences, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore Jhang Campus. He has graduated as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from IUB in 2014 and did M.Phil. in Meat Science and Technology from UVAS in 2017. During his M.Phil, he completed his research entitled “Comparison of carcass grading and meat quality evaluation of young indigenous, crossbred cattle and buffalo”. He served as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Meat Science and Technology (UVAS) for one year (2017-2018). He also worked as a Research Associate (2018-2019) in the project “Using innovative processing and packaging technologies to improve meat quality, eating quality and shelf life of fresh beef and beef products” and (2017) in the project “Commercialization of value added meat (fresh beef, organic mutton and camel veal) from fattened young buffalo calves, young camel and male goats/sheep reared under extensive organic productive system” at UVAS. He has also taught different short courses organized by TEVTA and PSDF.
