Biography

Before joining IPS UVAS in February 2020, Dr. Adeel Masood Butt taught at University of Lahore. He has taught courses in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy Practice. His research interests include drug delivery, biomaterials, nanotechnology, diabetes and cancer. Dr. Butt is particularly interested in designing smart drug delivery systems using simple approaches. 
Dr. Butt attended University of Sargodha and the National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), where he received his Pharm-D from Department of Pharmacy (now College of Pharmacy) and PhD from Faculty of Pharmacy in 2011 and 2015, respectively. Dr. Adeel has published in top international reputed journals of his field. He frequently presents his work at both national and international conferences. In 2018 and 2019, he was awarded the Best Teacher/Faculty Award from University of Lahore. He enjoys travelling and trying new foods.

  • The main areas of my research are drug delivery and nanotechnology
  • I am particularly interested in designing smart drug delivery systems.
