National/International participation in policy making to end poverty
Department of Parasitology has been engaged in provision of policy input to government bodies like Livestock and Dairy Development Department, the Govt. of the Punjab, for ensuring health of livestock thus contributing in sustainable production of milk, meat, eggs and hides.
Department of Parasitology is engaged in the research with an aim to improve diagnostic services to livestock farmers as well as other stakeholders of the sector.
Dr Haroon Akbar participated as an invited Technical Resource Person for discussion in a Seminar on “Insights on Toxoplasmosis and it Control through Vaccination: A One Health Approach” at VRI, Lahore on 15 September 2020
Dr Haroon Akbar participated in the meeting of Technical Committee to provide the treatment of sick animals at Lahore Zoo in its meeting held on 07-12-2020 in Lahore Zoo.
Dr Haroon Akbar was a member of the committee for developing the TORs for teaching Holy Quran to undergraduate students as per instructions of Govt. of the Punjab in July 2020 and provided the detailed inputs to the committee consideration and implementation.
