Introduction:

The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences is home to one of Asia's oldest Veterinary Teaching Hospital, established in 1882 as the Dog Hospital and later upgraded to the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences (Dept of SACS) in 2023. Initially focused solely on providing indoor and outdoor care for dogs and cats, the Dept of SACS now offers comprehensive services for small animals, avian, wildlife, Zoo and exotic animals. The hospital comprises two distinct sub-hospitals: the Cat Hospital and the Dog Hospital, each operating independently. To accommodate the growing number of patients seeking treatment, the technical staff has been expanded, ensuring round-the-clock care under the supervision of specialized staff members. Equipped with state-of-the-art medical and surgical facilities, including diagnostics and emergency services, the center is committed to the well-being of patients and the convenience of pet owners.
