Review / comparative approaches and develop international best practice on tackling the SDGs through international collaboration and research

Department of Parasitology is engaged in research projects through international collaboration as mentioned below:

  • Research Project entitled as “Tackling food security by controlling ticks and tick-borne diseases in bovines” worth Rs. 152.3 million funded under GCF-HECĀ  awarded to Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imran Rashid and Co-PI Dr. Haroon Akbar with national collaboration from KPK, Punjab and Sindh Governmental and autonomous organizations as well as with international collaboration from USA (Started).
  • ACIAR Small Ruminant Project (Ongoing) in collaboration with University of Melbourne, Austaralia (Dr. Rebecca Doyle and Dr. Angus Campbell) an international research project: “Effects of Nutritional Supplementation on the on GI Parasite-Burden & anthelmintic efficacy in Young Goats in Village Production Systems in Three Districts of Punjab”” (Started and Ongoing)
