Biography

Dr.Adeel Sattar is currently working as Assistant Professor in the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. He graduated as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2010 and M.Phil. in 2012 from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. During his M.Phil, he worked on “immunotoxicological studies of Newcastle disease in arsenic intoxicated broiler birds”. He got an opportunity by getting PhD scholarship under CSC in 2013 in a well reputed university of China named Huazhong Agricultural University. He worked there in National Key Laboratory of Veterinary drug Residues detection for 3.5 years and worked on two projects during his PhD

  1. Metabolism and pharmacokinetics of cyadox in dogs and cats following oral, intramuscular and intravenous administration.
  2. Formulation, preparation and characterization of cyadox nanosuspension and its pharmacokinetics in beagle dogs.

He has published 4 articles in well reputed high impact factor journals as a first author and 8 articles as a co-author. His cumulative impact factor is around 40.
He is involved in various teaching and research activities. He is also supervising M.phil students, leading them to work according to his expertise, trying to convey new techniques and research methodology. Beside this, he won a project entitled “Bioavailability and pharmacokinetics of cefquinome in layer birds” under SRGP of worth 0.5 million. He is ORIC liaison member and incharge of animal shed of his department.
