2023

Department of Dairy Technology at UVAS can play a pivotal role in combating student food insecurity by producing and distributing dairy-based products such as Laban, desi ghee, flavored milk, butter, cheese, and even ice cream. These products can be incorporated into food assistance programs to provide students with nourishing options. Moreover, the department can engage in research to develop affordable ice cream options, which, when included in food assistance initiatives, can bring moments of joy and comfort to students while addressing their nutritional needs, thereby contributing to a holistic approach in tackling food insecurity on campus.

2022

The Department of Dairy Technology at UVAS began offering premium milk, mozzarella cheese, Laban, flavored milk, butter, and Desi Ghee at its milk shop in collaboration with the Livestock Department. This program's goal is to offer top-notch dairy products to the entire community, giving students and employees special consideration.

2021

Department of Dairy Technology, UVAS in collaboration with Livestock Department, started providing quality milk, Mozzarella cheese, butter and Desi ghee at its milk Shop. The purpose of this initiative is to provide high quality dairy products to the whole community with special priority to students and staff.
