The Department of Dairy Technology at UVAS takes an active role in initiating and participating in cross-sectoral dialogues focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through its engagement in conferences and forums involving government agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the department fosters interdisciplinary discussions on critical issues related to agriculture, dairy production, and food security. These dialogues create a platform for knowledge exchange, policy formulation, and collaborative initiatives that contribute to the achievement of SDGs, promoting sustainable practices and improving the livelihoods of local communities. The department's commitment to such engagements underscores its dedication to driving positive change and sustainable development in the region.

2022

Institute of Food Science and Technology KFUEIT, RYK hosted a one-day conference in collaboration with the Department of Dairy Technology, UVAS, Ravi Campus on the theme “Capacity Building of Dairy Farmers in Southern Punjab. The seminar was attended by 80 participants, including progressive dairy farmers, industry stakeholders and dairy technologists of Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology. Dr. Bilal Tahir (Director ORIC-KFUEIT RYK), Dr. Muhammad Aslam Khan, Dr. Mian Tariq Mahmood, Mr. Mujeeb Arjumand Khan, Mr. Nayyar Idrees, Mr. Bilal Israel, and Mr. Asif Iftikhar (General Manager- JK Dairies) attended the conference as honored guests.
