Biography

Dr. Huma Mujahid is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (IBBt), University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from UVAS. Her research interests focus on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), nanobiotechnology, drug delivery systems, mycotoxin detoxification, and the application of nanoparticles in pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Her work aims to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to address multidrug-resistant pathogens and improve animal and public health. She has successfully supervised numerous M.Phil. students and PhD scholars and is an HEC-approved supervisor. She has published extensively in national and international peer-reviewed journals and has contributed significantly to research on antimicrobial resistance, nanotechnology-based therapeutics, and food and feed safety.
Her current research is focused on developing nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems against multidrug-resistant bacteria and exploring innovative strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance through interdisciplinary research.
