Project entitled, “Awareness about occupational Hazards and the use of appropriate PPE’s for small scale welders” of Rs 1.0 million, is completed by Dr. Fariha Arooj. Funding Agency: HEC

One day workshop on “Awareness about Occupational Hazards and the Use of Appropriate PPE’s for Small Scale Welders” under the project titled “Awareness about occupational Hazards and the use of appropriate PPE’s for small scale welders” was held on Dec 05, 2017. Professional welders from various industries and local welders attended the workshop. An awareness lecture was delivered by Mr. Mujahid, Safety Officer CIWCE (Centre for the Improvement of Working Conditions and Environment) about safe working practices during welding and appropriate use of PPE’s.

A project entitled “Noise pollution levels at Entry Points of Universities of Lahore and its Auditory and Non-auditory Health Impacts on Gate Keepers” of Rs. 0.15 million is in progress by Dr. Muhammad Luqman.

A Career Counseling Seminar on Health, safety and Environment was organized by the department of environmental sciences on 25th of February, 2020 in Pasha Academic Block, City campus
