Number of Seats:
The total No. of seats and their allocation to different categories will be decided by the Department admission committee.
Fee Waiver Criteria for the old graduates of UVAS:
- A full fee waiver to the topper of the batch (any undergraduate program)
- 50% fee waiver to 5 alumni applicants (any degree program) of the university qualified on the merit based on the admission criteria of FLSBM.
- 25% fee waiver to the remaining alumni applicants (any degree program) of the university qualified on the merit, based on the admission criteria of FLSBM.
Degree Requirements for BBA (Hons), MBA (Life Science), MBA – Executive and MBF Programs:
Following are the requirements to obtain BBA (Hons), MBA (Life Science), MBA – Executive and MBF Programs
- A student must attend at least 75% of his/her lectures to become eligible for appearing in the final examination of the semester.
- He / She must successfully complete:
- 19 courses, 3 electives, one management research project for MBA – Executive 2 year’s degree evening program.
- 28 courses, one project and internship individually, for MBA (Life Sciences) 3.5 years degree program
- 41 courses, one project, for BBA (Hons) program.
- 20 courses, 3 electives and one dissertation for MBF program.
- A student must obtain a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 to qualify to receive the degree.
- MBA (Life Sciences and Executive) students should complete MRP (Management Research Project) within the domain of Specialization track, consultancy firm, industrial unit or institution approved by this Faculty. This work carries a weight age of six credit hours for determining the GPA.
- BBA (Hons) and MBA (Life Sciences) students must produce evidence of internship of 8-10 weeks in respective area of his or her specialization.
Examination System:
There shall be semester (trimester) system comprising of two compulsory examinations in each semester for each course: a mid-term and a final term examination. The pattern of examination and evaluation criteria is totally of resource person’s discretion. However, class tests and quizzes could of multiple choices but mid and final term examination should be based on descriptive questions.
The grade given by the teacher shall be final. The dates for the examinations shall be announced well in advance by the Department. In addition to these examinations, marks have been assigned to quizzes, class works, home assignments, class presentations, class discussions, term papers, course project etc. The grade shall be determined keeping in view the overall performance of a student. If a student fails to appear in any examination / quiz or fails to submit a home assignment in time or is unable to give his / her presentation on due date, he/she shall be given no mark in that examination / quiz / presentation, etc.
The weight-age to examinations, home assignments and quizzes will be as per University Rules.
