Dairy Club Meeting, April 20, 2011 Mughal Board Room, Avari, Lahore |
Meeting was started at 6:20p.m. A total of 17 participants were present. Dr. M. Zafar Ullah Khan opened the session by giving a warm welcome and brief outlines of the meeting. Further proceedings were conducted by Dr. Shahzad Naveed Jadoon. He explained the basic idea of Dairy Club and opened the discussion. All participant of the meeting took their part in giving inputs for structuring the dairy club. The idea of dairy club was well appreciated by all participants. Comments from some of the participants are as follows: Prof. Dr. T.N. Pasha “I appreciate the initiative by these youngsters. We should share the knowledge for prosperity of the dairy industry.” He offered the services of UVAS for conduction of meetings, research and other activities. He also offered that website of this dairy club can be developed and maintained by UVAS IT team. A link can be developed with the name of dairy club on UVAS website. Dr. Japie “It’s a very good idea, but first we should be clear about the vision of dairy club. Development of website is very good idea, we will be able to float the same message to the target audience. “ Prof. Aleem Bhatti “The vision of the dairy club should be to enhance the profitability of dairy industry. Lets learn from the failure of others.” Col. Arshad Let’s first identify the problems of the industry Prof. Dr. M. A. Jabbar: Membership scheme for the farmers should be there so that they can be linked to the experts. Development of the brochures is very good idea. Rashid Shuja Butt: Everyone is here to help, share and learn. On Biogas plants, nobody is having proper information. This dairy club can well address these issues. Dr. Ashraf Where there are threats, there are opportunities. We should work on Biogas as well. Mr. Sami Ullah I am running Biogas plant very successfully. I offer you all to visit my farm.
