The 11th Meeting of Dairy Club (Joint Venture of Alltech and UVAS) was held on Monday March 05, 2012 at Syndicate Room UVAS. Following was the agenda of meeting:

Muhammad Zafar Ullah Khan opened the forum and explained the agenda of meeting.

Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad delivered a lecture on “Estrous Synchronization”. During his lecture he discussed on:

• Introduction of dept. of theriogenology, uvas
• Problems of buffalo and cattle reproduction?
• U.S. dairy population and yield
• Calving pattern of dairy animals
• Artificial insemination
• Synchronization protocols
• Timed ai in buffaloes

He also introduced the services they are offering on the behalf of Dept. of Theriogenology, UVAS, Lahore.

Dr. Ijaz Ahmad Channa delivered a lecture on “Tools for early pregnancy diagnosis”. During his lecture he discussed:

• Economic Importance
• Methods of pregnancy diagnosis
• Rectal palpation
• Hormone measurements
• Early Pregnancy-associated Protein
• Ultrasound examination

 Comparison of early pregnancy diagnosis techniques
