Biography

Dr Imran Mughal is working as a Lecturer in the department of Animal Sciences (Animal Nutrition) since August 2017 at UVAS Sub-campus (Narowal). He holds DVM (2010: UVAS-Lahore), M.Phil (2012: UVAS-Lahore)and PhD in Animal Nutrition (2018: UVAS-Lahore).
He has versatile experience in Laboratory Work and Exotic Dairy Animals Feeding. He has been involved in the development of Amino Acid Analysis Lab at UVAS (2015) and Feed Quality Lab at a corporate Dairy Farm (Sharif Dairy Farm-Pakistan). While doing PhD during his research work (at Sharif Dairy Farm), he has worked on precisionfeeding of Holstein Frisian dairy cows for almost two years. Dr. Imran has two years’ experience of Farm Manager at Farmers’ Dairy (1st Control Shed of Dairy in Pakistan) with 150 Holstein Frisian dairy cows. He has been working as a Research Associate in a research project for developing the Calf Milk Replacer for buffalo calves (120 buffalo calves) with locally available ingredients. Moreover, he has worked as a Training Coordinatorand Extension Services Manager for providing the technical advisory services to the progressive dairy farmers for improving efficiency of the animals under USAID funded project (UVAS Demonstration Farm Extension and Training Program).
At his current job, along with teaching and research he holds major responsibilities as a Convener Cafeteria Management Committee, In-Charge Animal Shed, Member of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Committee and Member Purchase Committee. 
He is life time member of Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC), Islamabad. He has got training from International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Islamabad-Pakistan on fodder shortage(FEAST tool).
