- A small to medium sized tree with glabrous branchlets
- Leaves glabrous, entire or dentate are elliptic lanceolate to broadly ovate
- Flowers are small, white in colour in glabrous cymes
- Fruit 1-2 cm long shining, yellowish brown, pink or nearly black when ripe
