Biography:

Mr. Syed Ghulam Mohayud Din Hashmi earned his undergraduate and postgraduate (M. Phil.) degrees in Space Sciences and Geomatics, respectively from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. His research entitled “GIS-Based Analysis and Modeling of Coastline Erosion and Accretion along the Coast of Sindh Pakistan.” His core area of specialization is the Management of Natural Resource through Geospatial Techniques. He joined WWF – Pakistan as the GIS Analyst in 2011 and working on the various domain of natural resources specially Wildlife Management, Forest Management, Flood Management and Soil Management. He was contributed in the national level study entitled “Ecology, Socioeconomic Implications and Habitat Change of the Common Leopard Panthera Pardus in the Western Himalayan Eco region Pakistan” under the supervision of renowned conservationist. He joined the Punjab Forest Department, GIS Laboratory as Data Analyst (BPS-17) in 2016 and actively participated for the development of Forest Management Information System. He joined the Department of Wildlife and Ecology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore as the Lecturer (RS/GIS) in 2016 and played the vital role for the development of Remote Sensing and GIS Laboratory under the kind supervision of the Chairman, Department of Wildlife and Ecology. He is currently working as Lecture (RS/GIS), Incharge (RS and GIS) Laboratory and conduct the researches in the field of Spatial Ecology, Wildlife Census and Habitat Modelling through state of the art tools and techniques to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
