Biography

Dr. Khalid Mahmood Anjum earned Master’s degree in Zoology from Government College University Lahore. Afterwards he secured M.Phil degree from the National Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, Punjab University Lahore, which was the best institute at that time for the studies in the area of Molecular Biology. He conducted his research on Population Study and validation of Paternity Testing for Thoroughbred Horses using microsatellite Loci approved by International Society of Animal Genetics (ISAG). He completed his PhD from Xiamen University- China, where he investigated the role of Wnt/Wingless signaling pathway in cancer. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Anjum served as Assistant Professor at Zoology Department Government College University Lahore from August 2010-Aug 2011. Then he joined UVAS and served as Assistant Professor from August 2011 to August 2018. Dr. Khalid is currently serving as an Associate professor in the department of Wildlife & Ecology from August 2018. He is experienced in handling most of the research model animals especially the Drosophila for epigenetics studies. He has expertise of recent lab techniques being used in the fields of Zoology, Genetics, biochemistry & molecular biology. Dr. Khalid has broad experience in Zoology, molecular biology and genetics and has better understanding of species identification & their conservation by using recent biological techniques.
