Ghazanfar Ali Chishti
Lecturer, Department of Animal Nutrition,
University of Veterinary and animal Sciences, Ravi Campus, Pattoki
INTRODUCTION:
Ghazanfar has recently (2020) completed PhD in animal science from the Pennsylvania State University (PSU), United States. Previously, in 2012 and 2015, he completed Doctor of Veterinary (DVM) and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in veterinary medicine, respectively from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Pakistan. Later, in 2016, he secured Fulbright scholarship for PhD from PSU. Before leaving for US, he coordinated and managed UVAS’s farmer extension services for 3 years (2012-2015).
He has a rural background and wants to use efficient livestock management practices for uplifting socioeconomic status of deprived rural population of Pakistan. For that reason, he plans to extend modern scientific knowledge to a common rural person in a way that they can apply.
