Q.  Is Pharm.D degree at IPS, UVAS recognized by Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) and HEC?
A.  Yes. IPS is duly approved and recognized by Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) and Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.

Q.  I am from Karachi, will I be able to practice in Karachi after I have earned my degree from IPS?
A.  Yes. You can practice / do a job anywhere in Pakistan after earning degree from IPS, UVAS.

Q.  Is IPS, UVAS conducting a VETERINARY PHARMACY programme?
A.  No. It’s the same programme being offered at other Public or Private sector institutions following PCP and HEC approved Pharm.D Curriculum.

Q.  Is Pharm.D at IPS related to Animals?
A.  No. The Pharm.D programme at IPS is related to Human

Q.  What is the difference between Pharm.D at other Universities and IPS?
A.  There is no difference, rather IPS has structured internships, Trainings, On hand workshops, Seminars and Practice related opportunities as compared to others

Q.  What was the last merit for Pharm.D Admissions?
A.  Information is given along with prospectus you purchase.

Q.  Is there any Quota for different Provinces?
A.  No. All admissions in IPS are open merit from all over the Pakistan

Q.  How many seats are available for admission?
A.  105 seats (55 Morning) & (50 Evening, Self-Finance)

Q.  What is the breakup of Seats?

Q.  I am a Pharmacists son/daughter, will I be given preference in admission?
A.  Yes. There are TWO seats exclusive for Pharmacist son/daughter in Morning. Separate merit list will be displayed in case of more than one candidate. However you can apply on Open merit as well to increase your chances of selection.

Q.  Can I Secure a seat in Self Finance (Evening Programme) by paying the extra amount?
A.  No. You can’t buy a seat on self-finance (Evening Programme). All admissions in Morning / Evening are purely on merit based on your marks in F.Sc. / O levels.

Q.  Is there any merit for Self-Finance (Evening) Programme?
A.  Yes. Self-Finance (Evening) admissions are also based on open competition among candidates on the basis of marks in F.Sc. / O levels.

Q.  Do my MCAT marks play any role in securing admission?
A.  No. there is no role of MCAT marks in securing admission in Pharm.D programme.

Q.  What are the pre-requisites for applying in Pharm.D?
A.  You have to hold a F.Sc. degree of equivalent with minimum 60% marks and should not be older than 23 years. 

Q.  What is the duration of Pharm.D Course?
A.  It’s a 5 Years degree programme

Q.  Where are various Job opportunities for me after doing Pharm.D?
A. 
Public Sector Jobs: Federal Drug Regulators, Drug Inspectors, Hospital Pharmacists, Quality Control Analysts, Armed Forced (Pakistan Navy) officers, Teaching, Research, Health commission, Forensic Scientists.
Private Sector Jobs: Community Pharmacists, Industrial Pharmacists (Production, Quality Control and Quality Assurance, Analysts), Academia, R & D departments, World Health Organization (WHO officers), NGO’s, Sales & Marketing, Entrepreneur - Self Employed (Community, Retail Pharmacy). Other than above mentioned avenues, Pharmacists are among top 10 most paid professional and 2nd most trusted professionals all over the world. A huge Community and Hospital Pharmacist market exists in Middle East and developed countries.

Q.  What is the Fee structure?
A.  Refer to the Prospectus for fee structure.

Q.  How many times I have to pay my fee in one year?
A.  Pharm.D programme at IPS is Semester system based. You have to pay dues TWICE a year.

Q.  Can I pay my Fee in instalments?
A.  No. You have to pay your fee at once.

Q.   What is the Fee refund policy if I choose to leave IPS, UVAS after admissions?
A.  As per the honourable court’s instructions, you can claim the deposited amount within the stipulated time period. See prospectus for details.

Q.  Are there any seats for Armed forces, Sports, Disabled personnel, Overseas Pakistanis?

Q.  Are there any Scholarships available for Evening student?
A.  Evening (self-Finance) Students are not eligible for any kind of scholarships.
