LAHORE (08-01-24): The Department of Theriogenology, Therio Graduate Club and Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore jointly arranged two days International Workshop on “Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasound (Intermediate Level)” at City Campus.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad presided over the inaugural session while Prof Dr Asim Khalid chaired the concluding session and distributed certificates among 15 participants and resource person. Former Chairman Department of Veterinary Medicine Dr Syed Saleem, Retired Prof Dr Aleem Bhatti, Chief Organizer Dr Zahid Tahir and participants/veterinary professionals & vet practitioners from across the country were present. Consultant Modern Vet UAE/UVAS Alumnus Dr Muhammad Waseem Aslam was the resource person of the training workshop.
While addressing inaugural ceremony, Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad urged the participants to maximize the use of this imaging modality in daily clinical practice.
UVAS arranged the first international intermediate level ultrasound workshop in Pakistan. The aim of the workshop was to impart intermediate level skills & techniques to participants/pet practitioners related to abdominal scanning in small animal.
