UVAS Activities

Day 1

  • UVAS flood relief volunteer teams in their designated areas (Fazilpur, DG Khan, Taunsa, Rajanpur) visited 17 villages / towns that were completely or partially ruined by the heavy floods and rains.
  • A total of 1216 animals were served including treatment and vaccination.
  • 29 families (298 individuals) were provided with tents, mosquito nets and rations.
  • The areas visited include Moza Malkani, Moza kanwala, Shameerwali, Bakhtwala, Pir Naseem, Kotla Esan, Shah wala, Kot Chuttai, Samundry, Basti Jalaleni, Basti Jadywala, Kobla Wala, Mauza Mangrotha East, Mauza Mangrotha West, Naari South, and Jattwala (Afzal Abad).

Challenges and Achievements

Due to floods, all the roads were ruined. It was practically impossible to reach the affected areas on buses or big vehicle. Teams asked the local authorities for bikes. Furthermore, requested the affected people to help in paving the roads.
