UVAS holds acknowledgement ceremony of Taleem Mumkin Scholarship Program by QASF

LAHORE (27-10-23): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged acknowledgement ceremony for Taleem Mumkin Scholarship Programme to recognize financial support of Qasim Ali Shah Foundation (QASF) for awarding scholarships to UVAS students studying in different degrees programs.

Chairman Sabir`s Group Dr F.M Sabir was the chief gust of ceremony while UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad, Chairman QASF Mr Qasim Ali Shah, Retired Prof Dr Ather Mahmood, Director Business Incubation Centre Dr Muhammad Hayat Jaspal, Deputy Director BIC Qaiser Hussain and a number of faculty members and scholarship-winning students were present.

While addressing the audience, Dr F.M Sabir said hardworking is the only key to attain best future. He called for playing affective role for the development of country and especially helping those students, including orphans, who cannot afford educational expenses. He advised students to try hard for the achievement of impossible goals by utilizing their knowledge and skills. He urged students to start their own business instead of seeking jobs.

Mr Qasim Ali Shah said that being muslims it is our duty to play as facilitator role by handholding of those people who are working for the benefit of nation and development of country. He said UVAS students have great potential and if we support them through scholarships so I am sure they will enlighten the name of Pakistan at national and international level. He praised Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Prof Dr Nasim Ahmed’s dedicated efforts to polish new generation by producing trained graduates every year.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Nasim Ahmed said that UVAS awarded 1,359 scholarships last year and total amount awarded in these scholarships was over Rs.103 million and among eight thousand students of UVAS every 6th student is getting scholarship after competing criteria. He thanked QASF for awarding 126 UVAS students over rupees 10 million per annum on merit. He advised students to learn soft skills to get jobs in well- known organizations for bright future and pay back to QASF and your parents as well.
