UVAS arranges various competitions in connection with Spring Festival 2024

LAHORE (07-03-24): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranges drama, wild wardrobe carnival and catecholamine game competitions under the supervision of UVAS Senior Tutor Office in connection with Spring Festival 2024 at City Campus.

In drama competition arranged by Natak Mandli Society, Environmental Sciences team won 1st position, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences team got 2nd while Doctor of Veterinary Medicine team stood on 3rd position.

In standup comedy competition, Adil Yaqub won 1st position, Mariam (Human Nutrition & Dietetics) got 2nd while Shahbaz (Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) stood on 3rd position.

In wild wardrobe carnival competition arranged by Special Animal & Veterinary Emergency Relief Society (SAVERS), Saim Khalid from (Lion category) won 1st position, Faris Butt (Zebra category) got 2nd while Syeda Mahin stood on 3rd position and all the winners from Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

In catecholamine game competition arranged by physiological society, Aniqa (Human Nutrition & Dietetics) won 1st position, Zain Ali (Institute of Biochemistry & Biotechnology) got 2nd while Hiba (Medical Lab Technology) stood on 3rd position.

In various competitions arranged by Qirtaas Society including urdu ghazal, regional poetry, afsana, English poetry, urdu nazam, english short story, essay, bait bazi and english poem, Hussain Shanas (DVM), Yahya Farooq (DVM), Eman (Institute of Biochemistry & Biotechnology), Aman Fatima (Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences), Hussain (DVM), Ahmad Chaudry (DVM), Arhama Shaukat (Institute of Biochemistry & Biotechnology), Abdul Rehman & Khubaib Ahmed (DVM) and Aman Fatima (Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) won 1st positions.

Emeritus Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad was the chief guest of concluding ceremony and distributed shields among winners while Principal Officer Students Affairs Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Senior Tutor Prof Dr Ali Raza Awan, Registrar Sajjad Hyder, Dr Rahat Naseer, Dr Muhammad Oneeb, Dr Faiz Rasool and number of students were present in the ceremony. Students from various departments participated in these competitions.
