On the occasion of World Rabies Day, Vets Care Club, organized an "International Virtual Conference on Rabies and its Control", through the online platform of Zoom. Five brilliant speakers including Dr. Ajaz Rashid (Chief of Staff at East Windsor Animal Hospital), Dr. Hassan Mushtaq, (Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, UVAS), Dr. Hassan Saleem,(Professor, Department of Veterinary Medicine, UVAS), Dr. Muhammad Aftab Gohar,(Manager at Rabies Prevention and Training Centre at The Indus Hospital, Karachi, representing Rabies Free Pakistan) and Dr Attiq Dhako, a renowned veterinarian and surgeon, were invited to share their knowledge and experience on the topic of Rabies and its Control

The Awareness Walk was conducted, and Worthy Vice Chancellor UVAS, Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad, inaugurated the camp. More than 70 animals were vaccinated against Rabies in these two days. Representatives from sponsor companies were also presented with shields as a token of thanks. The two day Free Rabies Vaccination Camp by Vets Care Club was wrapped up successfully after administration of the second booster shot

Vets Care Club, UVAS, organized a Deworming, Treatment Camp at Patokki village #4. A total of more than 150 animals were dewormed against common endoparasites. About fifty animals were vaccinated against FMD and several others were treated for various ailments.

Vet Crescent Society has arranged a Free Deworming Camp under the supervision of our patron Mr. Faizan Mazhar.The camp was established in Manga Mandi and a team of almost 60 Veterinarians under the supervision of Mr. Faizan Mazher successfully dewormed more than 150 animals without any cost. Free deworming and proper guidance was provided to the farmer in remote area by our enthusiastic Veterinarians. It was indeed a successful event. This event was arranged by the support of Altech Pakistan. Huge shoutout to Selmore pharmaceuticals for providing continuous supply of medicines and Hilton pharma who send their team with us.

 

Pre-weaning calf nutrition

Vet Crescent Society arranged a webinar on "Pre weaning calf nutrition" in the series of "Farm management". The guest speaker Dr. Ghazanfar Chishti told the participants how nutrition of calves is managed before weaning. Participants got a lot of learning from that session and the session proved to be very helpful for the young veterinarians.

Vet Crescent Society arranged a webinar on "Post weaning calf nutrition" on the series of "Farm management". Dairy Health Management

Vet Crescent Society presented the 2nd part of Farm Management Series. The  guest speaker Dr. Zahid Iqbal from Veterinary Medicine Department UVAS shared his views on the topic of “Dairy Health management”. In this session he told participants about the vaccination and deworming scheduled at farms. He also explained about the outbreak of diseases and its prevention and about measures to stop food and water from getting contaminated. The topic was overwhelmingly discussed.

 

 

Reproduction Management at Farms

 Vet Crescent Society presented the 3rd part of Farm Management Series. The topic for this session was “Reproduction Management at farm”. Dr. Abdul Rehman currently working as a Lecturer in the department of Theriogenology UVAS was the guest Speaker who shared his kind remarks on the above narrated topic. The session was about dealing with a group of animals, specifically management in reproduction of animals. He comprehensively but amazingly discussed heifer management, adult lactating, difference of commercial and corporate farm, fertility signals and breeding sheet of animals.

 

Equine Lameness Diagnosis

Vet Crescent Society conducted ‘Equine Management Series’ session-1 on the Topic “EQUINE LAMENESS DIAGNOSIS” on google meet. In this session the Guest Speaker was our worthy Dr. Hamid Akbar (Assistant professor). In this session conducted by VCS for young lads to precede more in equine management Dr. Hamid brilliantly explained the methods for lameness diagnosis and its treatment in equines for all the young doctors and beginners which keep interest in Equine management and to proceed further in equine field. The session came to an end with a great applause and appreciation by senior doctors and all the audience for VCS.

 

 

 

Equine Ultrasonography & Reproductive Disorders

Vet Crescent Society conducted a webinar on Equine ultrasonography and Reproductive disorders via google meet. The guest speaker was Dr. Mubbashar Hassan (Assistant Professor, Theriogenology) from CVAS, Jhang. Dr. Mubbashar presented all the reproductive disorders and their treatment to their audience very prudently and also showed ultrasonography and taught the audience how practitioners can diagnose different type of disorders with ultrasonography. That was absolutely a great initiative by team VCS to conduct such a helpful session for the vets. This informative session conducted by all-time active VCS for veterinarians was really a helpful session for training our young vets to proceed further in their fields.
