LAHORE (21-03-24): The Institute of Microbiology (IOM) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore in collaboration with Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Punjab Aids Control Programme arranged Poster Competition & Seminar with the theme of “Beyond the Myth: Understanding the Realities of HIV” at UVAS City Campus.
Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the concluding ceremony of seminar and along with Director (IOM) Prof Dr Aftab Ahmad Anjum, Dr Husnain Javaid & other dignitaries gave away cash prizes among the winners of poster competition and distributed shield among the organizer of the seminar.
In poster contest, Farwah (IBBT) won 1st position, Bakhtawar Khan got 2nd while Umme Kalsoom stood on 3rd position.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus lauded organizer to arrange seminar on burning issue for the awareness of public regarding the deadly disease HIV (Aids), symptoms, harm factors, treatment issues, diagnosis, causes, prevention and treatment methods etc. Prof Dr Aftab Anjum thanked Vice-Chancellor for the approval to constitute a student society name Society for Microbiology at UVAS.
