LAHORE (13-12-24): The UVAS Business School of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences
Lahore in collaboration the Higher Education Commission (HEC) arranged 1 st Business Research
International Conference on Life Sciences (BRICL) with the theme of “Trends and Technologies in Local
& Global Business Practices” at Pasha Block Amphitheater of UVAS City Campus.
Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Prof Dr Mukhtar Ahmed presided over the concluding
session of the conference and along with other dignitaries distributed four best papers cash awards among
winners while UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) chaired the
inaugural ceremony.

Conference Organizing Secretary Dr Ali Hamza and a number of national and international business
experts, researchers, teachers, HEC officials and stakeholders from different countries of the world
including Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, United Kingdome, Saudi Arabia and the
USA were present.
While addressing the concluding ceremony, Chairman (HEC) Prof Dr Mukhtar Ahmed said that Pakistani
youth have great potential and they enlighten country name in over the world. He advised students to
serve community and country by utilizing your knowledge and skills. He said universities known as the
creators of innovative knowledge & research and the problem solving single research is very better than
the enhancing numbers of research work in CV. He said forty thousand research papers are published
every year by researchers of Pakistan but only the research which benefits a large numbers of peoples is
better and more useful. He stressed on the importance of entrepreneurship and said HEC provide 50
percent scholarships & support to female students for their bright future. He said we must play our pivotal
role as a good citizen for the betterment of society and for the development of country and give a peaceful
homeland to our next generation.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus said that such conferences are necessary for
students to learn about new skills & knowledge from national & international experts regarding new
trends of businesses. He said this conference would be beneficial not only for the promotion of
collaboration with other institutions/organizations but also for enhancing livestock related businesses
which key to boost the national economy of country. He lauded organizer to arrange this conference on
informative topic and provide a best platform where national and international business experts share their
knowledge and experience with participants of conference. Earlier, Prof Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub
spoke about the aim and objective of the conference.
A daylong conference covered all the major areas related to business management, livestock & agri
business management, marketing, banking, finance & accounting, economics and artificial intelligence &
statistics, etc.
The international BRICL conference comprised of three keynotes and a penal discussion. The aims of the
conference provide a platform to researchers where they showcase their research work and will also
provide direction regarding the latest business practices in Pakistan.
During conference national and international speakers delivered their lectures on halal marketing latest
trends, impact of digitalization on business process outsourcing companies in Pakistan, supply chain
finance, cash holding, managerial abilities, market value of firm, innovation in human resource functions,
transforming banking sector of Pakistan with artificial intelligence, using AI to enhance digital marketing
in local retailer, transforming woman entrepreneurship in developing settings, role of AI and skilled
worker for business sustainability etc.
