LAHORE (29-05-24): The University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) arranged prize distribution ceremony of Prime Minister Talent Hunt Youth Sports Judo (Men & Women) Provincial League at City Campus Sports Complex.
Team of Lahore won the 1st position with 130 points, Faisalabad team with 65 points got 2nd position while Sargodha team with 60 points stood on 3rd position.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younas (DLA.I, T.I) was the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony and distributed trophies among the winner teams while Prof Dr Shakeel Khan was the guest of honour. Former Hockey Olympian Khawaja Junaid, Secretary Punjab Curriculum Text Book Board Abdul Razak, Regional Director Lahore HEC Mr Ghafoor, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Chairman UVAS Sports Board Prof Dr Muhammad Ijaz and number of players from different regions of Punjab including (Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan & Sialkot) were present in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younas congratulated the winning teams and their efforts & performances showed in the competitions. He said UVAS always focusing on enhancing sports activities in all campuses as well as curricular activities. He said basic objective of the PM talent hunt league was to providing opportunities to our young generation and promoting them for national & international competitions according to the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan. He also lauded UVAS Directorate Sports Board to arranged Judo Provincial League in a befitting manner in UVAS City Campus. He also acknowledged the participation of players came from different remote areas of Punjab with enthusiastically.
UVAS Business School holds annual dinner
Earlier, UVAS Business School of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore arranged an annual dinner at City Campus Lahore.
Provincial Food Minister Punjab Mr Bilal Yaseen was the chief guest of the event while UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I), Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Muhammad Azam and a number of faculty members and students were present on the occasion. Different activities like skit, comedy poetry, musical & cultural performances by students featured the event.
