Biography

Hassan Warriach is internationally recognized veterinarian and specialist in livestock extension systems with 20 years’ experience in teaching, applied research and extension, currently co-managing a $ 5 million research portfolio in applied systems research across Australia and Pakistan. He has recently completed his postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Melbourne and play a leading role in establishing the Agricultural Innovation System in Pakistan. He is working with various Australian Center for International Agricultural Research funded projects in Pakistan more than 15 years. He is serving as Director, at the Institute of Continuing Education & Extension, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore. He has established the Rural Development Research Group to promote poverty alleviation strategies through generate new knowledge on effective actions for managing change through research, development, and practice. He has been part of teams which successfully conducted multiple research programs to the value of AUD 5 million and published research work in the areas of animal nutrition, reproduction, production, agriculture, extension, epidemiology, sociology, physiology, value chain and community development in 34 scientific journals and 40 conference papers as well as 36 extension documents. He has been awarded the prestigious John Dillon Memorial Fellowship by ACIAR in 2014 by the Australian government.
