Weeklong Independence Celebrations of Pakistan concludes at UVAS

LAHORE (16-08-24): The Senior Tutor Office of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged concluding ceremony of Weeklong Independence Celebrations of Pakistan at City Campus.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the concluding ceremony and distributed certificates among the winner of all contests and also distributed shields among organizing team members while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, Senior Tutor Prof Dr Yasin Tipu and a large number of faculty members and students from different departments and societies including (UVAS Debating Society, Qirtas, UVAS Literary Society, The Artistry Hub, Character Building Society, UVAS Quiz Club & Music Society) were present.

While addressing the audience, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus appreciated the students’ enthusiastic participation in the weeklong independence celebrations contests. He also paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his dedicated efforts for the attaining of separate homeland for muslims. He said we must remember the services of our elders who had sacrificed their lives for the achievement of Pakistan. He also acknowledged the dedicated contribution of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan to strengthen the defense system of Pakistan. Prof Dr Yasin Tipu presented the vote of thanks and lauded students’ efforts in each contest to make this weeklong event successful.

Different competitions including Debate, calligraphy, poster, essay, bait bazi, quiz and patriotic songs etc featured during Week-long Independence Celebrations of Pakistan 2024.
