Within the Department of Meat Science and Technology at UVAS, robust policies, processes, and practices for waste disposal, especially hazardous materials, are pivotal. Faculty are trained by the American Society for Microbiology and the Pakistan Biological Safety Association through different courses. These practices are implemented in all labs allied with the department. Strict adherence to these guidelines ensures the safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste, minimizing environmental and health risks.
