Involvement in national government or regional non-government organizations (NGOs) with a focus on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) policy development can be a rewarding and impactful way to contribute to positive social and environmental change.
Through research and education, networking and attending conferences, seminars, and workshops related to sustainable development and SDGs allows to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations, which can open up opportunities for involvement. The department also frequently consults with governments and organizations, collaborates with academia and industrial partners, and partners with universities and research institutions with expertise in sustainable development. Collaborative research projects are also preferred to provide valuable data and insights to inform policy development.
