- Cultivated extensively throughout the hills and plains of Pakistan
DESCRIPTION:

An annual aromatic herbaceous plant 30-40 cm high
- Leaves alternate, pinnatified or decompound, leaf base auricular.
- Pinnules oblong, narrow, obtuse.
- Inflorescence of white flower in terminal compound umbel, involucel usually of 3 short liner lanceolate bracts
- Fruits are 2-3.5 mm in diameter, yellow to brownish in colour, globular and consist of two halves.

- Sowing time varies in different parts of country. It takes 3-4 months crops to mature
PROCEDURE & TIME OF COLLECTION:
- The plants are up-rooted when the fruits are ripened. These are then dried and thrashed to collect the fruit.
