UVAS arranges ‘Christmas cake-cutting ceremony’

LAHORE (21-12-22): Non-Teaching Staff Association of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore organised a ceremony for its Christian employees in connection with the Christmas at City Campus.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad presided over the Christmas cake-cutting ceremony while Principal from Full Gospel Assemblies (FGA) Pastor Tariq Waris, Emeritus Prof Dr Masood Rabbani, Principal Officer City Campus Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, President Non-Teaching Staff Association Asad Shah, Pastor Jawaid Younas, Dr Shahan Azeem and a large number of Christian employees and their families participated in the ceremony.

While addressing the audience, Prof Nasim Ahamad congratulated the Christian employees on celebrating Christmas. He acknowledged the role of Christian employees and their efforts/services in the development & enhancing the beatification of UVAS. He stressed on the equality and promoting harmony among all the employees of UVAS. He said UVAS ensures equal respect and rights to all its employees belong to any religion. He said it is the need of time to defeat all the hatreds & conspiracies and spread this massage that ‘we all are united & we are Pakistani’.

Pastor Tariq Waris said that we should participate in each other’s festivals to promote the message of unity. He also appreciated the role of UVAS and its tradition to celebrate Christmas ceremony every year in UVAS to encourage its Christian employees. He also talked about the golden rules, harmony, importance of education, massage of God and special pray for long live Pakistan.
