Awareness Seminar “Potentiated Probiotics as Alternative to Antibiotic Growth Promoters for Healthy Broiler Meat”-

Department of Anatomy and Histology is going to organize the said awareness seminar under the research project “Evaluation of dietary probiotics and zinc for production of antimicrobial residue-free broiler meat in heat-stressed broilers” – funded by Endowment Fund Secretariat, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.
During the seminar Dr Hafsa Zaneb (Project PI) will share the findings of the research project with a wider audience including researchers, industry representatives and consumers. We believe it will provide a unique platform for discourse of all the stakeholders to share their knowledge, concerns and to propose solutions.
Dr FM Sabir (Chairman Sabirs’ Poultry) will be our guest speaker and title of his talk will be “Antibiotic Free Production: Perceptions and Realities”.
Prof Dr Athar Mahmood (Chairman, Department of Poultry Production) will share the perspective of the research community on the active research questions and the way forward for healthy broiler meat production.
As part of the Seminar, a satellite workshop will also be conducted for the registered participants. The workshop will focus on setting up a basic laboratory facility for tissue processing, H&E staining and morphometric analysis.
