Welcome Address by Convener, UG-Admission Committee

Dear Prosperous Students,

Welcome to the leading university of Pakistan! Warmly welcome to the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore.

As you know, this year we are eagerly waiting for you more than ever before as the world is not the same anymore, but I am sure that these formative years of you spending here in UVAS are going to be the most decisively invigorating and will be laid down successful career plans for you. You are the chosen seeds I must say. To my guess from 48000 optional applications you 1200 students are selected for various degree programs here. I am sure you will make your presence worth staying here.

Your cognitive abilities, learning strategies and thirst for knowledge more will be catered by the possibly best trained faculty members. We shall not forget to nurture the most important human experience- Curiosity. Once you enter in a university life, you may find it challenging but that’s how you are the chosen one. I agree to a maxim of Sir Winston Churchill and probably this is what I have to say to you:

“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty”.
