Dr. Muhammad Adnan Ashraf is working as Assistant Professor in Institute of Microbiology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. He did his DVM from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF). After DVM he won Indigenous MPhil leading to PhD scholarship from HEC and completed his PhD in 2018 from Institute of Microbiology, UAF. During his Masters, he worked on the biological control of Aedes larvae by endotoxins of Bacillus thuringiensis and Bacillus sphaericus. During his PhD, he worked on the characterization and improvement of alpha-amylase of microbial source. He has experience of working as Teaching Assistant at IOM, UAF and as a Visiting Scientist under University of Pennsylvania, United States. He has worked actively in BSL-3 laboratories of UVAS for diagnostics and research activities. His research interests are focused on microbial enzymes, biofilm-forming bacteria, antimicrobial drug resistance, epidemiology and veterinary microbiology. He is reviewers of microbiology and interdisciplinary journals including BioResources, Biocatalysis and Biotransformation and European journal of Pharmacology.
