Biography

Dr. Talib Hussain is Lecturer at Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS), University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences Lahore, Pakistan. He holds Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and PhD degrees in Pharmaceutics from University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab, Lahore. During his graduate as well as post graduate studies, he has actively conducted many research surveys in the clinical setting in collaboration with the group mates. He has worked on many formulations development projects in post graduate studies research as well as at student’s level by guiding them about different aspects of formulation design, methodology, evaluation and key aspects of research writing and presentation skills. His M.Phil as well as PhD research also conforms to the new techniques development in the formulation design and making them adjusts to the needs of the community.
He had a wider exposure to majority of fields of pharmacy before he came to the field of academics and remained performing teaching, research as well as administrative responsibilities with educational institution in different capacities. He started his career in 2005 as a quality control analyst and microbiologist in Schazoo Laboratories, Lahore. In January 2007, he established a distribution setup for pharmaceuticals in Okara with renowned multinational pharmaceutical companies and remained running it until his M.Phil completion.
To satisfy his urge of research and technical education, He started teaching as a lecturer of Pharmaceutics in Faculty of Pharmacy, Hajvery University Lahore HEC ‘W’ Category University in October 2009. He was promoted to Assistant professor and Incharge Department of Pharmaceutics in January 2011. He was holding many positions in faculty of pharmacy and university such as laboratory Incharge, head of purchase committee, student advisor to faculty of Pharmacy and sports director of euro campus, Hajvery University Lahore. He remained teaching Pharm.D as well as M.Phil (Pharmaceutics) students during his stay in Hajvery. He has supervised 3 M.Phil (Pharmaceutics) students in Hajvery University till date.
He joined faculty of biosciences, Institute of Pharmaceutical sciences w.e.f. 26th Feb 2015. He is currently involved in teaching and training of undergraduate students of Pharm.D in theory and practical according to the new trends and innovations in field of pharmacy. He is also member of Purchase committee of IPS and involved in upgrading of existing as well as innovative facilities in laboratories of IPS. He always tries to be up-to-date with recent progresses and researches in the field and shares this regularly with his students.
