Biography

To date Dr. Muhammad Khurram Waqas has more than 10 years of job experience in quality control, teaching and research/development. Currently, he is Assistant Professor at Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS), University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. He got B.Pharmacy degree in 2004, M.Phil in 2009 and completed his doctoral degree in March 2015 from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He started his professional career in May 2005 as Production Pharmacist Pharmacist and served at Mediazan Labs (PVT) Ltd. Islamabad as Production Pharmacist for one year. Then He joined Kohinoor Industries Sahiwal as Assistant Manager Production on 01-06-2006 and worked till 04-06-2007. Immediately after completion of his M.Phil in 2009 he joined the department of Pharmacy, The University of Faisalabad as Lecturer on 02-04-2009. During his PhD study in The Islamia University of Bahawalpur from 2012-2015, he also served the Department of Pharmacy, IUB as Visiting Lecturer. The area of his research in Doctoral study is Cosmetic Dermatology. He developed various novel formulations for the treatment of skin aging and rejuvenation. During his doctoral study, he used sophisticated instruments for the measurement of skin parameters. i.e. Mexameter, Corneometer, Cutometer, Sebumeter, Skin pH-meter and Skin Visio Scan. He has Published more than 20 full-length original research articles in national and international journal and was invited as key note speaker and Oral presenter in various national and international events worldwide.
