Report on 5th UVAS Alumni Association Annual Reunion 2014

The University of Veterinary and Animal Science (UVAS) Lahore arranged 5th UVAS Alumni Association Annual Reunion on its City Campus night.

LUMS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Sohail Naqvi was chief guest on the occasion while Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Secretary Information Technology Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar, former Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Nawaz and a large number of alumni members attended the reunion. Turkey’s Selcuk University Rector Prof Dr Hekki Gokbel and a delegation from  Afyon Kocatepe University Turkey were also present on the occasion.

The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the guests and alumni members and thanked them for participating in the annual get-together. He also lauded the role of Akhlaq Ahmed Tarar and Dr Sohail Naqvi for the establishment and development of the UVAS.

Different skits and musical and cultural items were presented by the alumni members. Gifts were also given to the oldest and the most recent newlywed alumni members. A lucky draw for the registered members was also held on the occasion and the draw winners were given gifts.

At the end, new office-bearers of the alumni association were also elected.
