Biography

Mr. Muhammad Akmal is working as Lecturer in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore-Pakistan since 2014. He received BS (Hons.) and M.Phil degree in Fisheries and Aquaculture from the same institute. He earned his second Masters in Fisheries Science from Pukyong National University, South Korea under KOICA fellowship program. He worked on “Bacteriophage base bio control of bacterial infection in fishes”. He isolated two new bacteriophage Akh-2 and Akh-10 against fish pathogenic Aeromonas  hydrophila. His further research interest includes use of probiotics for the possible  increase growth and breeding potential of major carps. He has supervised 14 undergraduate students. Currently he is serving as member departmental board of studies.
