Biography

Mr. Abdul REHMAN is serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. He received his PhD degree from Freie Universität Berlin in 2016. He received a Post-graduate diploma (2011) in Project Management from Virtual University, Pakistan. He completed his Post-graduation (MPhil) in the field of Epidemiology and Public Health from UVAS and secured first position. He received Bronze medal on completion of his graduation degree (DVM). He has had the honour of being Class Representative and Proctor of the University during the graduation. He was nominated as “Students’ Representative” by the Worthy Vice Chancellor for administrative activities in the University. He has worked in a community based dairy development programme, a collaborative project of Engro Foods Ltd, Tetra-Pak Pakistan Ltd and Delaval Pakistan Ltd for six months. His primary field is epidemiology with research emphasis on vector borne diseases (VBDs) in Pakistan. He has attended six international workshops and conferences. He has published 12 research articles in national (8) and international (4) impact factor journals. He has contributed a book chapter in an international book titled “Bacterial zoonoses”.
