Biography

PhD studies from Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. Government of Pakistan. He did Post-Doctoral Research-training with Prof. Dr. John Robert Barta, Department of Pathobiology, Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph ON, Canada where his work was on parasites of the phylum Apicomplexan (Plasmodium, Eimeria, Isospora, Toxoplasma gondii, cryptosporidium, and related organisms) and their vertebrate and invertebrate hosts at historical, organismal and molecular levels. Dr. Hafeez served the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad as Assistant professor.  He also got the opportunity of working at Ontario Veterinary College.  He has supervised M. Phil students. He is author and co-author of a number of peer-reviewed publications. His primary focus of research is on molecular diagnosis of parasitic diseases, host-parasitic co-evolution, i.e. historical association of population, bar coding of parasites.

Areas of Interest

  • Molecular diagnosis of Parasitic Diseases, Parasitic Immunology, Host Parasite interaction, DNA Bar-coding
